Cynda Rader for Mayor

With nearly 50 years as a proud resident of Lee’s Summit, Cynda Rader has seen our city grow from a quiet suburb into one of the most vibrant communities in the metro. She raised her three children here, built a successful real estate business, and has never stopped showing up for her city.

Cynda’s journey in public service began decades ago—as a PTA mom volunteering in her kids’ schools. That dedication evolved into leadership, with service on critical boards and commissions including the Planning Commission, Water Utility Board, and Tax Review Board. Today, she continues that service as a current City Councilwoman.

Cynda is running for Mayor because she believes Lee’s Summit is at a turning point. With smart, strategic leadership, the city can continue to grow responsibly — protecting what makes it special while preparing for the future.
